Livery reveals are the one thing fans look forward to above all else in pre-season and there are some stunners this year. I rank them all and there's some surprises along the way, so read on to see where I've put your favourite.

10. Ferrari

It's red. That's about it. It's famous, looks nice and all, but all the other teams have some sort of design. Yes there's a green symbol towards the rear, but it's not enough for me.

9. Red Bull

I always like Red Bull's designs, but they're quite samey year on year. The stark contrast in colours is appealing to the eye as usual, but I like a team that gets creative and Red Bull fall well short in that regard. Shame, really.

8. Alfa Romeo

Alfa Romeo have a very similar layout to Toro Rosso, but I'm not as fond of the colours. I do like that they've flipped the design on its head, though, by putting the red at the base of the car. A subtle yet effective choice.

7. Alpha Tauri

I don't know why, but I'm getting real James Bond vibes from this car. It's elegant and sophisticated and the understated colour scheme is a joy. Maybe the Honda logo could be dark blue to match, but it is a partner after all. I loved when they beat their big brother on the track last year and Alpha Tauri easily best Red Bull here.

6. McLaren

Similar to the Red Bull, McLaren's design is very similar to in 2020. The orange and blue combination continues to grow on me and is the most 'out there' colour scheme on the grid by a long way, so they're relatively high up the order.

5. Haas

American or Russian? The car bears a great resemblance to the latter flag and is a thing of beauty. It's made headlines and even been subject to an investigation, their front wing basically advertises the banned flag, but any car that looks like a tube of Aquafresh gets in my top five.

4. Williams

Yes. Just yes. Three significant colours on one car is ambitious and Williams have pulled it off. What I would say, however, is that they don't blend into each other to smoothen the transition, so they just miss out on the podium, but that retro-looking front wing is awesome. Superb effort.

3. Aston Martin

Wow. I love this one. The Emerald green is out of this world. Not only is the car a thing of beauty, the race suits are equally as good. The only criticism I have is that there is no real design on the body. I put Ferrari last because of that and Aston Martin would be down there too if it wasn't the first time we've seen their colours. What a livery, though.

2. Mercedes

The Black Arrows were my favourite car last year, partly due to their connection and relevance to the Black Lives Matter movement. The sprinkling of white behind the cockpit gives them a different dynamic this year and ran first place very close. There's only one winner for me, though

1. Alpine

What a livery. Renault were traditionally yellow and black, but the name change has taken team colours with it and my goodness has it worked. Royal blue has something special about it, the secondary colours compliment it so well and I love the subtle French flag on the sides of the front wing. We may not be seeing them on the top step of the race podium this season, but they've won this contest.

If Haas if the Aquafresh then Alpine must be the Crest! Top ranking btw!
